Brachypelma sabulosum is found in the tropical forest of Peten, Guatemala and possibly ranges into Mexico. The eco region is called Petén-Veracruz moist forests. (www.worldwildlife.org)
With 1000-2400 mm of rainfall each year it is clear that this species prefer more moisture then most other Brachypelma species. Only little is known about the distribution of Brachypelma sabulosum. Known only from the type location. More studies are required not only the distribution but also the relationship of Brachypelma sabulosum compared with the other Brachypelma species from the vagans group.
